EBS director Jonathan Martin

Evolution Business Systems (EBS) director Jonathan Martin will run 21km in Melbourne on July 24 to raise funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute (Jeans for Genes) program

Jonathan said the initiative aligned with EBS values. “In wanting to make a difference in our community, I wanted to do something personally for a worthwhile charity,” he explained.

“I'm inspired by the work of Children's Medical Research Institute (Jeans for Genes) and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Run Melbourne 2016.

One in 20 children worldwide is born with a birth defect or genetic disease. Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) is dedicated to advancing the treatment and prevention of childhood diseases, so every child has the opportunity for a healthy start to life.

Moxitek founder Raaj MenonVeteran technology entrepreneur Raaj Menon has launched Moxitech, a startup software firm that aims to deliver the benefits of the connected world to even the smallest business.

Drawing on a team of more 100 software developers, graphic designers and marketing professionals, Moxitek develops applications, websites and online services without a scary price tag. Other services include search engine optimisation, mobile app development, video marketing, press releases and infographic design.

Raaj Menon said he had set up Moxitek to help businesses take the daunting leap across the digital divide. “We all use the Internet today, but many small and even large businesses are struggling to take full advantage of it,” he said.

Redflow Executive Chairman Simon Hackett with ZCell enclosure on-screenAustralian battery innovator Redflow today launches its first residential energy storage solution, ZCell, a breakthrough system that includes a battery made from easily recyclable or reusable components.

ZCell can store 10 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy, allowing people to ‘timeshift’ solar power from day to night, store off-peak power for peak demand periods and support off-grid systems.

Australian residential installations are scheduled to start mid year, kicked off by an introductory rebate offer for eligible Redflow shareholders. Full details of ZCell and the opportunity to reserve a ZCell battery are available at www.zcell.com. International availability will be announced in coming months.

Redflow Executive Chairman Simon Hackett said ZCell was a breakthrough system. “ZCell breaks many of the rules that apply to legacy batteries, making it ideal for the home market,” he said.
