AlltradersSpecialist software development company Alltraders tomorrow pays homage to its website design origins by hosting the July user group meeting in Adelaide for the Joomla! open source content management system.

Now in version 1.6, Joomla is a free, open-source content management system (CMS) and application framework that powers 2.7 per cent of the World Wide Web. Backed by a vibrant volunteer community, Joomla offers user-friendly features and plenty of power to meet complex website needs.

Although its software team now develops a broad range of online applications for enterprises in Australia and overseas, Alltraders continues to offer web and print services from its Adelaide office.

All Joomla User Group Adelaide meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of the month. Tomorrow’s meeting will be at the Alltraders office, 5 Hawke Street, Albert Park. The only cost of attending is $5 for pizza coverage.

Possible topics for future meetings may include watching and discussing a 30-minute Brian Teeman video presentation about hidden secrets in Joomla, locking down Joomla for security, custom offline and 404 pages (without extensions), the ins & outs of using .htaccess for Joomla, and how to use Firebug.

When it’s not hosting pizza-eating web developers, Alltraders undertakes custom software development that ranges from enhancing an existing software application to developing a completely new one.
