Michael O'LoughlinAustralia Joomla! website hosting business Alltraders has launched two hassle-free maintenance packages to defend neglected websites against malicious attacks.

Alltraders Chief Information Officer Michael O’Loughlin said websites left unchecked for an extended period of time may contain identified security holes that had been publicly broadcast. “Transparency is one the greatest strengths of Open Source Software, but it is also a weakness,” he said.

“As security issues are located, they are broadcast to the community, leaving a paper trail with the aim to enhance the collective community knowledge. However, this information can also be used maliciously.

“While the security team at Joomla is constantly developing new updates to protect the community against these attacks, the key is knowing when and how to upgrade. The many extensions installed on the website also pose a risk if left unattended.

“After consultation with our clients, we have developed two packages to protect websites against malicious attacks by keeping them up to date - while leaving customers free to focus on their business.”

Gordon WagnerAdelaide psychologist Gordon Wagner has launched a program of anger management courses for couples, sharing skills to help people build better relationships by overcoming conflict.

An experienced relationship counsellor, Mr. Wagner has designed the 10-hour program, run over five evenings, to transform the way we experience and cope with anger in relationships.

Gordon Wagner said conflict within relationships was typically intense because it arose from our most heartfelt issues. “This program aims to help people redirect the passion that fuels conflict into rebuilding communication, trust and love within the relationship,” he said.

“The lessons from this program are applicable not only to anger in our closest relationships, they can also be applied to many areas of life to improve all of our relationships.”

Parawa Estate, located at the southern end of South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, last month launched its latest luxury wine in Italy, aimed at the top echelons of the world wine market.

The second of its ‘Classic Range’ - the 2008 Eden Grand Reserve Syrah will retail on release at US$800 a bottle. The wine will be launched at Vinitaly, Europe’s biggest wine event, in Verona.

The boutique company stormed onto the world scene last year with the release of the most expensive Australian wine ever (on release) with the Ingalalla Grand Reserve 2007.

This ‘Bordeaux style blend’ was released to the world media at Vinitaly 2012 with sales being made to the top tiers of wine buyers in Europe and Asia.

The 2008 Eden Grand Reserve Syrah will be Australia's most exclusive Syrah, a serious investment-grade wine that the makers consider to be an equal of many of the great Rhone Valley wines, most also marketed around USD $800 per bottle.

A dozen Australian and NZ wineries are joining forces for a trade mission to Hong Kong this month to capture a share of China's rapidly developing taste for our wines.
