AXIMCom MR-102NAustralian technology distributor PCRange is now shipping AXIMCom’s battery-powered 3G broadband travel routers that makes it easy for you to share Internet access when you’re on the move.

The AXIMCom MR-102N portable router uses battery power and 3G wireless broadband to keep you online in a wide range of locations, while sharing that Internet access with an 802.11n wireless network. The device works with Australian 3G networks operated by Telstra, Optus, Virgin and 3.

As well as travellers, AXIMCom’s MR-102N is useful for people who rent houses, workers setting up temporary offices, visitors to holiday homes or weekenders as well as campers and leisure boaters.

The $199 AXIMCom MR-102N is distributed exclusively in Australia by PCRange. PCRange claims the MR-102N is the first mobile router on the market to support the 802.11n wireless network protocol, allowing users to enjoy both fastest and farthest wireless coverage.

PCRange General Manager Stewart Goodier said the MR-102N could reduce the cost of Internet access by sharing the 3G broadband service through its 802.11n wireless network. “I believe the MR102N portable 3G router with battery will be a very hot product,” he said.

“The AXIMCom’s MR-102N is ideal for travellers, renters and anyone using wireless broadband as a replacement for a fixed line ADSL service. By simply connecting a 3G modem to the unit, you can create mobile broadband access anytime anywhere for a group of users and devices to share.”

AXIMCom’s MR series supports a wide range of 3G modems: The device’s unique 3G Plug-n-Play function will automatically detect and configure a 3G modem. More details about the MR-102N are at http://www.AXIMCom.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=155&Itemid=181.

PCRange will also launch the smaller MR-101N Mini Portable 3G Travel Mobile Router. Details are at http://www.AXIMCom.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=97&Itemid=126.
