Australian broadband device distributor PCRange has strengthened its management team with the appointment of experienced technology sector executive Stewart Goodier as general manager.

Mr. Goodier, formerly South Australian State Manager for Ingram Micro, where he spent 12 years, has a proven ability to identify sales opportunities and implement strategies to build market share. Ingram Micro is the world's largest technology distributor.

PCRange, which has built Billion broadband devices into Australia’s most successful router brand, also distributes technology convergence products from AXIM and Minitar. Last year, PCRange also launched a wirelessly connected weighing device, the WiFi Body Scale, in Australia.

Mr. Goodier said PCRange was poised to lift its profile nationally. “Billion, in particular, is a well-recognised and credible brand globally, especially within the technical community,” he said.

“In Australia, it has topped the Australian Broadband Survey four years in a row. Our job is to now push the Billion brand to a broader base so that the consumer better recognises its value.

“To take our profile to the next level, for both the Billion brand and PCRange as a business, we need to increase our engagement with tier one resellers and ISPs. To gain acceptance from mass merchant retailers, we will work to better understand their requirements in terms of issues such as freight considerations, inventory management, stock rotations and returns policies.”
