Internode today starts selling its first terabyte ADSL2+ plan with a launch-day sweetener - $30 off the originally announced price plus large data boosts for most other new Internode Easy Broadband plans!
Internode’s new T-Shirt plans, which are labelled with sartorial sizes ranging from S to XXL, offer generous new quotas to data-hungry customers – completely free of any off-peak impediments! Between announcing its new big-gigabyte (GB) plans last week and today’s launch, Internode has sharpened its pencil to deliver even more value for both existing and new customers. First up is Internode’s true one-terabyte plan, Internode Easy Broadband XXL, with a 1000GB data quota and no off-peak limits, now costing just $119.95 a month when bundled with a NodeLine phone service. Next, Internode has trebled the data quota available at its most popular price point for ADSL2+ broadband. The new Internode Easy Broadband S (Small) plan, which costs $49.95 when bundled, now includes a massive 150GB of monthly quota. This compares to the 50GB per month quota offered at the same price by the previous entry-level Easy Broadband plan, which is now ‘grandfathered’ (that is, maintained for existing customers, but not offered for sale). Internode also introduces the Easy Broadband M plan with a 250GB data quota ($69.95 bundled) and Easy Broadband L with a 350GB data quota ($89.95 bundled). For customers with big data appetites, Internode provides the 600GB XL plan for $99.95 (bundled) as well as the true-terabyte XXL plan. These new Internode Easy Broadband plans are also available on an unbundled basis, using third party phone line rental, and as Naked ADSL2+ plans. Pricing for these options can be found on the Internode website at www.internode.on.net/easy. Existing customers are welcome to remain on their current plan or move to any new plan that is available in their area. Internode managing director Simon Hackett said the improved pricing and data quotas over the plans announced last week was part of Internode’s commitment to its customers. “We want Internode customers to get great value as well as great service,” he said.
“We’ve decided to reduce the cost of our use-anytime terabyte plan and boost the data quotas on three other new Internode Easy Broadband plans. We believe these new plans deliver excellent value points for anyone considering Internode. “An important differentiator for Internode’s T-Shirt plan range is that you can use your Internode data quota whenever you want. That’s in contrast to most high-end market plans that have split their quota into peak and off peak amounts, with the off peak only available for a minority of the time. “Our new T-Shirt plan table supersedes Internode’s enormously successful Easy and Naked Easy broadband plans. There are no changes to our other plan tables. These new plans just add value and additional choice for any customer who has an appetite for large data quotas.” Internode is offering these new Internode Easy Broadband and Naked Easy T-Shirt plans at more than 300 telephone exchanges nationally, through a combination of its own direct DSLAM footprint and that of Optus. Service availability varies depending on specific plan and geographic location. Details are provided on the Internode web site. These plans include a 256k/256k over-quota shaping speed, and free support for ADSL2+ Annex M, where it is available. This allows the potential for higher upload speeds of up to 2.5 megabits per second. Annex M service requires an Internode-Direct ADSL2+ port and Annex M compatible customer equipment. Along with these new plans, Internode will release new analogue telephone services called NodeLine HomePlus and NodeLine BizPlus, which cost $34.95 and $39.95 a month respectively and include the first $5 of phone calls each month in the price of the plan. Internode’s broadband plan changes don’t stop here!Within the next month, Internode intends to introduce other new Internode Easy Broadband options, designed to meet the needs of SOHO customers, and to revise its high quality DSL plans for Business customers. Details of these initiatives will be provided as they become available.
