Billion, Australia’s most popular broadband router supplier, has launched an Extended Warranty Program that can double the warranty for its award-winning BiPAC routers from two years to four years.

Effective for purchases made after July 1 and registered within 60 days of purchase, the Extended Warranty Program adds two years to Billion’s standard two-year warranty, taking it to four years in total.

The Extended Warranty Program is available on eligible products in the Billion BiPAC range for just $19.95 – or $9.95 on BiPAC 7700 and 5200 Series.

For five years in a row, Billion has claimed the accolade of Australia’s most popular broadband hardware by topping the Australian Broadband Survey, held by tech-savvy broadband website Whirlpool (www.whirlpool.net.au) and completed by 23,513 broadband consumers during January 2011.

This year, Billion again topped the hardware table, with 23.9 per cent of respondents nominating it as their broadband modem brand. The next most popular brand attracted votes from only 13.6 per cent of respondents – a clear lead that Billion has maintained for a number of years.
Recent Billion announcements include:

  • In March, Billion's most competitively-priced IPTV-ready router, the BiPAC 7700N, which includes Wireless N and ADSL2+ performance for just $89.95, became the best-selling router PCRange has ever released in Australia
  • Launching the Billion BiPAC 6200WZL, a dual-WAN Wireless N router with the added convenience of a built-in SIM slot for 3G broadband access, with an RRP of just $249
  • Two years after its launch, Billion’s BiPAC 7800N router, a sub-$200 device that can handle Fibre to the Home (FTTH) broadband services, became a surprise hit last Christmas, with unmatched sales demand.
