For the fifth consecutive year, router manufacturer Billion has earned the accolade of Australia’s most popular broadband hardware by topping the Australian Broadband Survey 2011.

Held by tech-savvy site Whirlpool (www.whirlpool.net.au), the Australian Broadband Survey was completed by 23,513 broadband consumers during January 2011.

This year, Billion again topped the hardware table, with 23.9 per cent of respondents nominating it as their broadband modem brand. The next most popular brand attracted votes from only 13.6 per cent of respondents – a clear lead that Billion has maintained for a number of years.

Seven Billion routers were among the 16 models listed in the survey. The most popular Billion models were its best-selling Billion BiPAC 7800N, the Billion BiPAC 7404VNPX and Billion BiPAC 7401GPR3.

Again, more than 90 per cent of Billion users described themselves as satisfied or very satisfied with its performance. Full details of the Australian Broadband Survey are published at http://whirlpool.net.au/survey/2010/
