SAGE-AU today announced that discounted early bird registration rates for its Australian System Administrators 19th Annual Conference will close on July 11, 2010.

The popular annual conference, which provides training and networking opportunities for those in the profession of system administration, runs from August 9 through 13, 2010 at the Wrest Point Casino, Hobart.

Tom Limoncelli, author of The Practice of System and Network Administration and Time Management for System Administrators is this year's keynote speaker.

Training opportunities provided by the conference include a range of core system administration tasks across Microsoft Windows and UNIX technologies, management skills for system administrators, and 'softer' skills required in the profession of system administration.

This year's conference includes a Foundations of System Administration stream, designed especially for those who are new to System Administration. This stream includes a mix of technical and non-technical sessions designed to provide new System Administrators with a solid grounding in key skills and knowledge to be effective in their careers.

The conference also provides technical sessions on relevant issues including IPv6, energy efficiency, configuration management, systems deployment and security.
