CeBIT Australia logoAustralian network equipment manufacturer Opengear is this week demonstrating its award-winning ACM5500 technology on the CeBIT stand of its Australian partner, M2M Connectivity.

Last week, Opengear’s ACM5504-5-G-I Remote Infrastructure Management Gateway was named winner of the Most Innovative IT Hardware category in the 2012 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards from the Interop Las Vegas technology trade show.

Opengear (www.opengear.com) designs appliances that simplify remote access and control of mission-critical IT network infrastructure, even if the network is down, by providing an “out-of-band” management console. With senior managers and its R&D team in Brisbane, Opengear makes more than 80 per cent of its sales in the US.

At CebIT, Opengear’s National Sales and Business Development Manager (ANZ) Brendan Baker is introducing the ACM5500 RIM Gateway appliance, which offers a Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) solution for monitoring and managing both Information Technology and Operational Technology.  With built-in 3G cellular access, enterprise-grade security and support for both Ethernet and serial-managed devices, the ACM5500 is the first fully automated remote management solution to provide secure access to, and control of, all infrastructure at critical remote sites.

Opengear ACM5500 network applianceM2M Connectivity (http://www.m2mconnectivity.com.au/) will demonstrate the Opengear ACM5500 on its stand – C40 – at CeBIT 2012 in Sydney. Both Brendan Baker and Opengear founder Bob Waldie are available for interviews at CeBIT 2012. For media assistance or to request an interview, call John Harris at Impress Media Australia on 08 8431 4000 or email jharris@impress.com.au.
