Don PeruginiAustralian artificial intelligence leader Intelligent Software Development (ISD) this week presented its pioneering consumer simulation technology at the Clean Tuesday Smart Grids forum in France.

The Clean Tuesday Smart Grids forum is intended to present innovative technologies relating to smart grids for energy and water.

Delegates to the Smart Grids forum saw how ISD's Simulait software can analyse complex data about consumer behaviour. This analysis of data generated from smart grids can enable utilities to formulate better strategies that will influence consumer behaviour at critical times, in order to minimise disruptions such as blackouts.

ISD has gained strong interest in its consumer forecasting and analytics technology in Europe since entering the European market this year. The company’s global expansion is facilitated by its hosted web application software, Simulait Online, which provides clients internationally with on-demand access to ISD’s world-leading technology.

Unlike traditional data analytics approaches, ISD’s Simulait technology can accurately simulate a complete population of consumers to better predict and understand how to influence consumer behaviour. Simulait has been used successfully in the water, energy and retail sectors to assist with strategy, policy, demand management, capital planning, micro-marketing, load forecasting and risk management.

About Intelligent Software Development

Founded in 2006, ISD is an Australian company that has developed the state-of-the-art Simulait forecasting and data analytics simulation software to quickly and easily solve complex business problems, with an accuracy rate of more than 95 per cent.  Drawing on their experience in the defence and health sectors, ISD founders Drs. Don and Michelle Perugini identified an urgent market need for better decision support systems in the financial and environmental sustainability sectors. As with the popular SimCity computer game, the Simulait software precisely models a complete population of consumers, and their demographic characteristics and behaviours. The simulation software can then run “what-if” scenarios to improve the accuracy of strategic planning and demand forecasting.
