The Billion range of ADSL2+ broadband routers will now be sold via Harris Technology in response to demand for the Billion brand from the national IT reseller group’s tech-savvy customers.

Harris Technology, which operates nine Business Centres throughout Australia as well as having an active presence on-line, will stock high-end Billion ADSL2+ modem routers and its specialist security routers. The company specialises in selling technology to small to medium businesses, giving Billion an important channel to one of its key growth markets.

Harris Technology’s Buyer for Servers, Networking & Storage, Calum Mackenzie, said the business had decided to sell Billion because of customer demand. “We’ve had people walk into our Business Centres specifically asking if we sell Billion,” he said.

“There are many customers who do a lot of research on the web and make their purchasing decision before they walk into a store. For our customers who have requested the product, we are now able to provide them with what they’ve been asking for.

“Billion is a specialist supplier in the market that fits well with our tech-savvy customers. As we primarily sell to small and medium businesses, our customers tend to look for more fully-featured products.”

Mr. Mackenzie said PC Range provided good support for Billion. “I’ve been impressed by the professionalism of its people, from the initial contacts to ranging of the product,” he said.

“Without formally launching the Billion range, we’ve already made a number of sales, so the future with Billion looks promising.”
