Internode increases Sydney headcount to meet demand
Internode
July 15, 2008

Internode Group General Manager Patrick TapperNational broadband company Internode is relocating to larger offices in the Sydney central business district as strong demand from corporate customers drives a trebling of head count during the next year.

Internode's NSW office has delivered a record performance during the past financial year due to in-demand corporate services including Internode Business Connect (IBC) private IP networks, data centre co-location with large Internet links and fibre-optic connectivity.

Internode's new office, on level two of 61 York Street, will allow Internode to accommodate additional sales and administrative support staff.  The company expects a total of 10 people in the office by early 2009. Plans are underway for an internal fitout of the 155 square-metre office. Internode expects to move into the office by the end of September.

Internode Group General Manager Patrick Tapper said Internode provided a competitive alternative to traditional telecommunication companies. "Internode is winning more corporate business because we offer high quality networking services at a competitive price," he said.

"We need to move to larger premises in Sydney because customer demand justifies substantially increasing the size of our team there. The new office is close to public transport and in a more scenic part of the city, which helps with the process of attracting and retaining good staff."
