PC Range managing director Raaj Menon
While many tremble at the manufacturing rise of China and India, Raaj
Menon recognises only opportunity. The 45-year-old technology
entrepreneur believes these burgeoning giants offer great shoulders to
stand on for the broadband and wireless networking distribution
business he runs from Australia.
Born in Malaysia, Raaj moved to India at age nine. Eight years later, he left for the US to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. In the following two decades, he entered the IT industry, mastered the art of IT sales and built software games developer Megamedia Corporation into a substantial success, before moving to Australia in 1997.
Based in Adelaide,
Raaj set up distribution company PC Range www.pcrange.com.au
and secured a distribution agreement with Billion Electric Co. Ltd. Since the
year 2000, PC Range has built the Taiwan-based corporation's reputation for
brilliantly engineered networking equipment into a market-leading position in Australia. In
the prestigious 2007 Australian Broadband Survey, conducted annually by
tech-savvy website Whirlpool, Billion was named the preferred
router brand by 23.7 per cent of the
nearly 18,000 respondents. This was twice the level of the second-placed brand.
Raaj Menon is
expertly placed to speak on topics that range from emerging trends in broadband
and wireless networking equipment to the challenges of managing globally
sourced suppliers.
