BRW has identified independent information security
specialist CQR Consulting as one of Australia's best performing
start-up companies in 2004-05.
In its title cover report this week, BRW ranks the Adelaide-based company as
one of only three South Australian firms to make the prestigious BRW Upstarts
list - redubbed the Fast Starter list in 2007 - which reports on Australia's fastest-growing
start-up companies.
CQR Consulting delivers independent information security services, without the
need to sell computer hardware, software or other technology services. The
Australian-owned company acts as an "honest broker" for organisations often
caught between the competing claims of incumbent vendors.
Founded in 2004, CQR Consulting is one of 17 Information Technology (IT)
companies on the Upstarts list this year.
"As fears of terrorism intensify, businesses want to be assured that their
people and equipment are safe and their data and intellectual property are
protected," reports BRW. "Three of the Upstarts have been quick to sense the
concern and have started very successful companies ...CQR Consulting offers
information security services."
CQR Consulting co-founder Greg Inge said CQR's growth was driven by global
demand. "The company was born global to meet demand for independent information
security services from around the world," he said. "We have already grown to a
staff of 12 with engagements throughout Australia,
Asia, Europe and the UK.
We are on track to more than double our first year's turnover in the current
year, with no sign that demand is abating."
