National broadband company Internode today cuts $10 from the price of its dialtone-free Easy Naked plan, making it even better value, delivering high speed ADSL2+ with a 70-gigabyte data quota for just $59.95.
Internode has also extended the coverage of its Easy Naked service by more than 200 telephone exchanges through its national partnership with Optus. Internode now offers cost-effective, high-speed naked ADSL services in most metropolitan areas across Australia. Part of Internode’s Easy Broadband product family, Easy Naked is a simple-to-choose Naked ADSL2+ service that eliminates the need to pay a monthly telephone line rental. Easy Naked delivers just a “naked” ADSL2+ broadband service over a phone line with no dial-tone although customers often choose to use it with Internode’s NodePhone Voice over IP service, for low-cost, high-quality phone calls. Internode has announced other enhancements which include a doubling of shaping speeds on Easy Naked services, providing 128 kilobit per second each-way Internet access for customers who exceed their monthly data quota.
Internode also offers the option of faster upstream speeds via the ADSL2+ Annex M protocol, available to customers who access their Easy Naked service from Internode’s own broadband equipment. Furthermore, a new Naked ADSL ‘Transfer’ signup option makes it even easier to move an existing naked ADSL service to the Internode network. Internode product manager Jim Kellett said the service overhaul was driven by Australia’s competitive marketplace. “Easy Naked is our most popular Naked ADSL service and delivers great value for money,” he said. “These revisions make it even better value, backed by Internode’s award-winning customer support.” Internode has also reinvigorated its partnership with Optus by relaunching its NakedUltra product range, delivered using Optus Wholesale broadband ports. The entry-level Home-NakedUltra plan costs $49.95 for a 10 GB-per-month service. The range includes high-capacity Business services delivering up to 200 GB per month. NakedUltra ADSL2+ rejoins Internode’s Naked ADSL2+ product mix and expands on the coverage area of Internode’s existing NakedExtreme ADSL2+ services from its own infrastructure.
