Billion BiPAC 6200NXLBillion Australia has launched the BiPAC 6200NXL, an all-in-one wireless server router that uses the latest 3G and Wireless-N technologies to deliver high-speed Internet connections on the go.

Costing $199, the 802.11n 300Mbps broadband router includes two USB 2.0 ports for functions such as 3.75G WAN connection, a print server, a webcam or an FTP server for network device sharing. The BiPAC 6200NXL allows you to easily download photos, stream High Definition video or IPTV files, run media-intensive applications, watch movies or share files with customers, friends or family.

The combination of 3.5G/3.75G wide area network connectivity and high-speed local area network coverage delivers “anytime anywhere” Internet access at offsite meetings, tradeshows, conferences, workshops, at home or on the go. With a supported Ethernet WAN port, the BiPAC 6200NXL can also function as an ADSL or cable modem, with an auto failover facility to ensure always-on connectivity.

The Billion BiPAC 6200NXL also contains a Billion utility called the 3G Management Center, which lets you monitor your Internet connection and also manage your 3G monthly subscriptions.

Earlier this month, Billion claimed the title of Australia’s most popular broadband hardware for the fourth year in a row by topping the Australian Broadband Survey for 2009. More than 90 per cent of Billion users described themselves as satisfied or very satisfied with its performance. Full details of the 2009 Australian Broadband Survey are at http://whirlpool.net.au/survey/2009/.

Australian technology distributor PCRange sells Billion broadband products through its national reseller network. PCRange managing director Raaj Menon said the BiPAC 6200NXL was aimed at the SOHO/Office markets. “It combines affordability and flexibility in a single, easy to use device,” he said.

Billion products will appear prominently on the PCRange stand at the CeBIT 2010 technology trade show, running May 24-26 this year at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour.
